For the Week of April 27
thru May 4, 2008
By Rhonda Schwenke, Activities Director We started our week having Mass with Father McCallum on Monday morning, and then worked on some crafts in the afternoon. Dee Snyder was in the Beauty Shop on Tuesday, and Betty and I did manicures throughout the day. We welcomed Ina Morris back on Wednesday morning, and everyone was glad to see her and to listen to her play the piano. We celebrated our volunteers in the afternoon with a Social for National Volunteer Week, and had over a dozen of our wonderful volunteers here with us. A great big thank you again to all who donate their time. Thursday May 1st, Sara called Bingo numbers in the morning and worked with a group of residents in the afternoon on some crafts. Friday afternoon we had a social with some mint chocolate ice cream to kick off Kentucky Derby weekend. Saturday we celebrated with Hank Roberts for his birthday with some pecan pie and mint juleps. We are looking forward to celebrating Ruby Mills’ 104th birthday with her on Wednesday and are celebrating all of our special ladies and their loved ones with a Mother’s Day Pie Social on Thursday afternoon. We would like to wish all of our nurses Happy National Nurses Week this week and to say thank you for all you do! |
